I Voted (Not That I Felt Satisfied When You're An Independent Given Crap Choices)

Well, I voted earlier this week. I'm largely not satisfied with my choices though. When one looks at my ballot over the past decade, it's a mashup of dots all over the place as many are picked based on the merit of whether one can do their job, regardless of party. I don't owe anything to any party! The sad thing is when you're an Independent, their is no party that represents me. As such, I try to free myself from that drug called partisan politics. Yet, that won't stop many as presenting political parties as deep, personal friends who genuinely care about me. I didn't know that the political parties were just like Jesus! This intoxicating drug induces people into thinking that their preferred side can do no wrong. Thus, they become blinded by ignorance and arrogance.

However, as an Independent, one is presented with few choices. As an Independent, I don't like voting for people that I don't like or support. While many Republicans complain about perceived censorship that isn't real, one might as well be invisible if an Independent!

In keeping with my tradition of awarding those dots to those who deserve it, I kept my disqualifications down to two main criteria:

If any one candidate supported the overturning of Roe V. Wade, that is the first instant disqualification in my books. I hate abortion. At the same time, it's a private, personal choice that isn't up to me, the state, or church officials to decide. If their is anything I hate more than abortion, it's the government telling women what to do. If there's anything I hate more than the government telling women what to do; it's blind, uptight fundamentalist riding on their high horse influencing the will of the government. Christianity is a spiritual movement to lead people to Salvation, not a tool to enforce a social and political order.

When Christianity is used to control people, then it becomes a weapon of abuse. Many will weaponize their faith to enforce their own ideas of how they think things should be. When the pawns of government listens to those who don't have the spiritual welfare of people at heart, but in pursuit of grand ambitions of those screaming "GOD, COUNTRY, AND FAMILY" at the top of their lungs. Thusthey become accomplices to the ills of those who abuse Christianity for their own selfish purpose. When the government tells women what they can and can't do, where does it stop?

The second disqualification is if any one candidate supports or justifies the actions of January 6th. I hate conspiracy theories. How many countless thousands have died because they brought into Covid vaccine nonsense such as it containing baby fetuses, changing your DNA, etc. How many more have brought into the baseless claim that dead people voted in the 2020 election. Just because one reads it on Breitbart doesn't make it true. I don't like Biden. However, the election wasn't stolen. A claim doesn't magically become true just because you think it's such.

I would be very willing to believe the claim if there was any supporting evidence. I'm still this way. If the claim is supported by actual evidence, then I would change my opinion. However, it's only when compelling evidence is presented by professionals in their field, not because of imbeciles in the streets screaming at the top of their lungs.  Also, random click-bait from Breitbart, NewsMax or WND doesn't count as evidence either.

History Repeats Itself

The 2020 Stolen Election claim is the modern American Stabbed-In-The-Back Myth. This myth is a reference to the aftermath of World War 1 which claims that Germany lost the war because of the collapse in the home front brought on by Communist and those in Germany's Jewish Community, while still remaining victorious in the field of battle. However, The Stabbed-In-The-Back Myth is called a myth for a reason though. Germany did lose the war because of a rapidly deteriorating situation on the battlefield. The German Army lost in the field of battle due to multiple Allied Offenses and the country was running out of resources to wage war. There was no evidence to support the claims made by Ludendorff, the German general who created the myth, as there is no evidence  to support the claim that the 2020 election was stolen. They did recounts in states where the Republicans held the majority. Essentially, they had every reason in the world to contest the election. Yet, the results came back without irregularities. As stated, people are entitled to their opinions. However, at the same time, a claim doesn't magically become true just because many think it's such.

Back To Biden (and Beto)

In 2020, people were not voting for Biden; they were voting against Trump. Biden didn't win because he was more loved than Trump; he won because he was less hated than him. In an ideal election, one should be able to vote for a candidate because they passionately support them, not because they're repulsed by the other one. However, this has been the case in the past several elections.

Biden has largely been a disappointment since taking office. Even before Biden started though , I already expected disappointment. Yet, what makes this situation even more depressing is that Trump wouldn't have fared any better either. I said this before, and I'm going to say it again; we lost as voters, regardless of who won the election. The voter, regardless of affiliation; was always going to get the short end of the stick. I know that those who consume tribalism like a drug will disagree, but this is the case.

This is what makes Biden's position in power very precarious at best. If people feel that Biden can't deliver (which has been the case. Granted, the vast majority of things that negatively affected his administration were global in nature that were beyond his control, like global inflation brought on by the worldwide effects of Covid and the war in Ukraine initiated by 21st Century Hitler, Putin), then people are going to hold him accountable. Unless Trump is barred from running due to ethics charges that can lead into a criminal case, there is a very strong possibility that Trump will win the election again.

Back to Trump

A part of me says that it would have been better for that worthless crybaby to win the election just so that he could get the remaining 4 years out of his system. The fake populist wouldn't have perpetuated a false conspiracy about a stolen election (he would just have continued perpetrating other false conspiracies with no backing like Deep State, Cancel Culture, Wokeness, Political Indoctrination In Schools, etc). However, because he lost (legitimately), things have gotten much worse because millions were brought into an absurd and false lie designed to destroy democracy. When you're an independent on the outside looking in, you see a lot of things that biased eyes can't.

Conclusion

Again, in this midterm, it wasn't about who you voted for, it was about who you voted against. The Countless "Greg Abbott Sucks" articles are a give away of who I wasn't voting for. I know that those who see Greg Abbott as the salt of the Earth wouldn't like to hear that. I mean Greg Abbott has done so many wondrous things in this state like.......................

............................

..........................

and ummm....................

..........................

........................

Here in Texas, if Beto wins, it's not because he is supported by the masses. People were not voting for Beto, they were voting against Greg Abbott. Again, in a perfect world, it would be nice to support a candidate because you supported them. However, this isn't the case here. People were not voting for Beto, they were voting against Greg Abbott.

Neither party really deserved my precious vote. But yet again, because of the whole "when you're an independent, you actually don't have any real choice" situation, you have to vote either for or against someone. As someone who spent the past couple of years typing constant crap-posts about Greg Abbott, I was going to make the most of the golden opportunity presented once every couple of years of sticking to that worthless, lying piece of crap presenting himself as another (fake) populist while perpetuating false conspiracy theories.

I wasn't going to vote for anyone who fell into the two instant disqualifications noted above. Such, few Republicans got that ink circles filled in. Such a shame too as I was willing to vote (more) Republican if they presented a worthwhile reason for me to vote for them other than empty platitudes littered with phrases like "Fight For Freedom" or "Protecting You And Your Rights" and other slogans that any politicians can claim, regardless of party. For those head-honchos of the Texas Republican Party, I would have been (more) willing to support you if you didn't cave into MAGA Extremists and crackpots who enslaved themselves to baseless conspiracy theories. It's your fault that I didn't vote for you! Texas Republican Party, you have only yourselves to blame for whatever happens in this state. Don't try to pass off your issues onto invisible demons of your own making like the following: Political Correctness, Critical Race Theory, Wokeness, Radical Leftist, etc. These were imaginary demons of your own creation. They were created by you so you can fight them publicly to justify your own (worthless) existence.
