GIMP: Fun with Technicolor/Lomo (Part 2)
The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) Editor has many plugins/filters available to give images that unique look.
Another
image of Baxter Tower on Jackson Street here in Harlingen. On this
particular image, the Technicolor filter is applied. The bottom image is
the original for comparison.
By default, GIMP
does not include a Technicolor script. Luckily, there are options
available on the web which fills in the void. I downloaded both the
Technicolor 2 and 3 color scripts which can be found on the following
site:

The site https://sites.google.com/site/elsamuko/gimp also has various scripts/filters that can be downloaded. Created by elsamuko, these scripts can work wonders in creating vintage-looking images. Included is the Lomo filter which gives images the appearance of what would have been taken on a Lomo camera from the 1950's-1970's. Also included are the technicolor filters. The Technicolor 2 and 3 scripts have been applied to the images on this page.
