Thoughts About The 2020 Election: So Far
2016 Is Going To Repeat Itself
Things are not
looking that good. This street pundit on the sidelines is basically
seeing the Democrat Party heading straight for disaster. The Democrat
Party during this primary could be liken to a high-speed train heading
straight into a brick wall. The DNC will sheepishly believe that they
can clear it, but regardless of whether they are successful for not, we
lose. It's looking very likely that 2016 is going to repeat itself.
The 2016 Election was one of those elections that regardless of who won, the American citizen lost. The American people would have lost regardless of whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump won. On one hand, I can understand why people voted for Trump. Many (me included) did not want Hillary to be President. She is a corporate shill with decades of political baggage. It's how the typical street pundits puts it: you don't know what your getting with Trump, but you know exactly what your getting with Hillary. For those who are curious though, I voted third party as neither candidate deserved my vote.
What makes things especially depressing was that in 2016, the DNC had a candidate that could have easily beaten Trump, but denied that candidate the nomination because the DNC already convinced themselves that Sanders was out to destroy the system. For those that think that money makes one immune from accountability, Bernie Sanders is the worst thing to ever happen to them. As noted in the last article, the Democrats deserved to lose to Trump because of their actions. If they repeat history again in a similar manner, they deserve to loose again. Sure, we will have to put up with a egotistical madman who thinks that he's God and the reincarnation of Jesus for four more years; but that the price that's paid when one put money above ethics. This is the price paid when one party has a candidate with genuine support, but toss him by the side for a sellout.
Sure, Joe Biden isn't as bad as Hillary. However, comparing the two would be like comparing a dumpster fire to a stopped-up septic tank. Their still both very terrible. Comparing Joe Biden and Hillary is like choosing between being shot in the knee-caps or being tasered in the nuts. It's going to be painful regardless. Their are no winners in that contest!
People have a right to be outraged about the DNC's antics. When one declares that one has to choose between two disliked candidates (the lesser of two evils), the system fails (that person also becomes a slave to the system and accepts whatever choice at face-value without opposition). People have a right to demand better, regardless of the party. When one votes for their candidate, it should be because they are in full support, and not because their not as bad as the other one.

Revisting 2018 Texas Midterms
Their was no
winner in the 2018 Texas Midterms (at least not for the average Texan
anyway), regardless of the candidate. I sat in the ballot booth for 10
minutes struggling to choose between Beto O'Rourke and Neal Dikeman, the
Libertarian candidate. I wanted to vote for someone because I really
believe in the candidate. This was not the case Beto O'Rourke.
I couldn't think any reasons to vote for Beto O'Rourke , or the Libertarian candidate Neal Dikeman for that matter. However, I could think of dozens of reasons to vote against Ted Cruz.
Despite this, Beto was just another another sock puppet protecting the status quo that many are fed up with. Eventually, I did vote for Beto in the election. However, that vote was one of me voting against Ted Cruz, and not voting for Beto. I consider my vote to be one of "no support" for Cruz. The system failed in that I should have voted for the candidate because I was in full support of their policies; not because the hatred of the other politician determined that vote.
Voting for Ted Cruz was never a realistic option for me. One of my favorite podcast, Behind the Bastards (a podcast that talks about horrible people, both past and present), did a episode about him. Most of my suspicions were confirmed, plus some. I even learned of more recent underhanded tactics that he resorted to. Some on his campaign infiltrated the Beto campaign and sent text messages that screamed "Red Scare".
Now, it's doubtful that he was directly behind it. At the same time (if he wasn't behind it), Ted didn't condemn it either, which is of great concern. This is a invitation to promote underhanded strategies. The reason why I voted against the Republican Party was because they ran a campaign of smearing, rhetoric, misinformation (there's a reason why I constantly reference PolitiFact and Snopes), and dirty tricks. They did not run a campaign that was based on valid interpretations of party policies. Due to the Whataboutism tactics that the GOP embraced during the election, a moderate politician with mainstream views is painted as a Marxist-Commie that out to destroy Capitalism, the America dream, wage war against Christianity, anti-police, pro-open borders (even though this isn't a real thing), while counting every second to send gun owners to concentration camps. Politicians are called Satan just because there is a difference of opinion. None of these claims are based on the merit of the facts, but sensationalist rubbish impulsive people buy instantly without research. This rhetoric was what I voted against.
Now Lets Return To 2020
Their never was
much of that Biden from me. At the start of the campaign though, I was
rather indifferent to Biden though. Really, the only thing I knew about
him was that he was Obama's VP and that he ran for President a few times
before that. However, when he's not in Obama's shadow and standing on
his own merit, one quickly sees his true colors; a corporate shill and a
preserver of the status quo. A status quo that is dominated by big
money, billion-dollar donors, corporate interest, Wall Street, and
lobbyist more concerned with fulfilling their own agenda than they are
about serving the needs of the people. The people that built up those
giant corporations.
Many of the career Democrats, including those that dropped out, proclaimed that we should quote "go to the safe candidate" and just want things to go back to normal. Obama, Biden, Pete, and Pelosi made such remarks. When one examines these remarks, what they are saying is that they want things to return to the status quo. The status quo is what got Trump elected. As noted in the previous article, while their is a lot of Obama love now, he is a massive reason why Trump got elected. People were sick and tired of career politicians and insiders representing their own interest while neglecting the needs of the common man. The ones with the big money determines the course of the country, and not the voter.
Economic policies embraced by the status quo (ie. Boomers) have placed Millennials as the most disadvantaged in the current economy. How does Biden respond when confronted with the well-research information that his policy have placed this group into economic dire straits: I HAVE NO EMPATHY FOR THEM! Biden declared that if becoming President, he wouldn't change a thing. This is a declaration of a man who see's nothing wrong with the current political system when they are some very obvious issues confronting it. Big money dominates. This isn't a Democracy, but a Plutocracy where those with the money determines our future. How is that Democratic?
It's one thing when a candidate is straightforward about their positions. However, Biden was selling himself as a populist candidate. Did he not expect people to examine his voting record? Those who took the effort to examine his record realized that he was about as career politician as one gets. He has a largely Conservative slant actually. There's nothing wrong with that as long as one if upfront about it, which Biden IS NOT!
He sells himself as the champion of progressives, but yet craps on Millennials for policies that he had a hand in, and then go back around declaring that he is the best thing to ever happened to them. To say that he's a joker is a understatement, except that he's not funny.
One could spend a long time digging up more contradictions, but the matter of fact is that Biden was selling himself as someone that he wasn't for the sake of votes, and the populist saw right through him. The one single piece from Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk that I've linked at the bottom essentially sums up everything I feel about Biden in one video. Their is no empathy for Biden here.

We need to demand much greater integrity of information
so that we don't unnecessarily sacrifice the lives of
brave Americans soldiers based on assumptions
that later turn out to be false.
I don't hold his vote for the Iraq war against him on the surface.
Most politicians on both sides voted for the war due to information
that later turned out to be false. Their were no weapons of mass
destruction or was Saddam in cahoots with Bin Laden. Anyone in that
position would have made the same decision, and come to regret it down
the road years later. The only thing we can do is to demand much greater
integrity and scrutiny of information so that a mistake like that
doesn't happen in the future. We need to demand much greater integrity
of information so that we don't unnecessarily sacrifice the lives of
brave Americans soldiers based on assumptions that later turn out to be
false.
With that said, one can't vote for a war and then go back around and say that they never supported it!
This was what Biden did. He voted for the Iraq war, supported it, and then went back and claimed that he never supported it.
