Thought About The 2020 Election: Super Tuesday
Bernie Sanders Still Hanging On (Despite MSNBC, CNN, and the DNC Trying To Discredit Him For The Umpteenth Time and Largely Succeeding)
This article
has been one week in the making. With a busy schedule, it's hard to keep
tabs on the latest developments. Despite that though, another round of
primaries are taking place. The Democrat primaries of 2020 is one that
could either make or break the part. One could smells dirty tricks from a
mile away on Super Tuesday on March 3rd. These dirty tricks have set
the tone for the rest of the primaries. Early on (when the total numbers
of precincts reported were just reporting 4-5%),
MSNBC pundits were already declaring that Biden was heading towards
victory. This was despite the
fact that the vast majority of the precincts haven't been counted and
people were in the process of voting.
MSNBC, knowing full well that reporting Biden's success based on
results that just barely came in would affect the outcome; fooled
undecided voters into supporting for a candidate of the DNC's
preference. The Biden rebound isn't positive development. His rebound
was a result due to manipulation at the hands of CNN and MSNBC feeding
unconfirmed claims knowingly to effect the outcome of the results in the
DNC's favor.
The DNC have never been supportive of Bernie Sanders, and is
still
actively partaking in the campaign to stop him at any cost. CNN and
MSNBC, independently working on their behalf, is also partaking in the
smear campaign, looking for every opportunity presented to throw dirt in
his direction. I say independently because while they have a common
goal, I personally believe that these media outlets aren't in cahoots
with the DNC. Imply that they're all working together would hint
conspiracy theory, which we don't have time for. Conspiracy theories are
for those incapable of doing critical thinking. We're better and
smarter than that.
The DNC's disdain of Bernie Sanders is common knowledge though, along with that of MSNBC and CNN as well. The DNC often resorts to Republican scare tactics to discredit him. Bernie Sanders still did well on Super Tuesday, despite the shenanigans that the DNC engaged in while in their pursuit to rob him from the nomination. They are attempting to repeat 2016. If 2016 repeats itself, then that demagogue is going to get a second term.

CNN and MSNBC do hit pieces
against Bernie on a regular basis. Chris
Matthews of MSNBC had referred to Sanders winning the Nevada Caucus as
the
political equivalent of the Nazi's occupying France during the 1940
Blitzkrieg, essentially calling Sanders a Nazi in the process (while
ignoring the
fact that he is Jewish).
Many rightfully complain about Fox News when it regularly engages
in misinformation and Whataboutisms designed to paint a politician with
mainstream views as a radical Commie/Terrorist/Demon/whatever. Every
sensationalist news outlet needs there cartoon villain. MSNBC and CNN
often resorts to the same media tactics employed by Fox News when it
comes to Sanders. He has become there boogeyman. A news source becomes
discredited when they start to to pander to
the political bias's of their audience for the sake of ratings. A outlet
starts to falter in their reporting duties when presenting
sensationalist commentary
as news while presenting opinions as "facts".
The presentation of
rhetoric, assumed fallacies, and party propaganda as news is a very
massive issue, regardless of the political slant. CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News
have to be called out for playing into people's biased worldviews by
conforming to their fears, prejudices, and paranoia. These sources only
present news from one emotionally charged perspective while leaving out
certain information, sensationalizing other claims and then taking them out of context to push their own narrative. This is a
complaint that can be made largely against American corporate news in general (again, regardless of
the political slants). These sources know that they can manipulate people to their preference and views. Sensationalist reporting done with the intent to manipulate their viewers is a violation of journalistic/reporting ethics. At
the same time, it has to be pointed out that this isn't a Democrat vs.
Republican or Liberal vs. Conservative problem that many uninformed
citizens make it out to be.
Even though Fox News had little impact on Super Tuesday, they do
still have to be called out because one can't call out CNN and MSNBC
while ignoring the sly fox. One can't declare that they're against media
biased while ignoring Fox News and giving it a pass because it caters
to their opinion. Extreme bias is extreme bias, regardless of the
political slants. Whether it's
Conservative or Liberal bias is irrelevant.
Unfortunately, extremely biased outlets know how to manipulate
their viewers in this manner because they know them like the back of
their hand. This is exploitation of our shortcomings. While prominent
with TV viewers, these mentalities have carried over into the realm of
social media. One sees it all the time. Who is this gullible person that
is taken advantage of all the time?
- The person who has that charged, but yet, horrible misinformed
opinion while making everything into a us-vs.-them argument. The online
user that post that political meme with that empty platitude,
catch-phrase or inaccurate and assumed fallacies on their timeline. Many
of these users will form a opinion based on ridiculous memes,
sensationalist click-bait, and hit pieces that they saw on Facebook.
- The user will share whatever content on their Facebook timelines to their hearts content without fact-checking it. The type that will believe whatever they read at face value, and then share it on impulse. When confronted with the indictment that they should have done research, they will respond with quote "I don't have the time!". If one had time to read a meme or hit-piece, form a opinion on it, and post it on their timelines impulsively like the gullible dolts that they're projecting to be, then they had the time to do that fact-check. It would have only taken a few minutes. It's this impulsive nature of people that makes Facebook the very toxic place. We have the responsibility to make sure whatever we share is accurate and up to the highest standard. Is asking people to fact-check their claims too much to ask for?
- The type that share divisive content with false information with little regard to the consequences of sharing such info. Individual will naturally assumes that everything that conforms to their worldview is automatically true and factual just because it caters to their opinion. They won't question the source of the claim. That unsuspecting individual will automatically assume that if the source in question has the words "Trusted", "Liberty", "Freedom", or "Christian" in their title, then the source won't lie to them. Those operating the sites in question know this too. They can make the most sensationalist claims and know that they can get away with it too while knowing that their audience is too naive to question their content. The user will thus impair their own critical thinking skills in the process. If people formed opinions on facts instead of rhetoric, the likes of Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, Brieitbart, TheBlaze, and InfoWars would have gone the way of the dinosaurs a long time ago. Sharing divisive content does have real-world consequences.
- The type
that will on one point that might be dismissive of one side, but yet,
think that their side is perfect and incapable of mistakes. The user
that will scream that CNN and MSNBC is horrible, but yet declare that
Fox News is the greatest thing since slice bread. Rubbish crap is
rubbish crap, regardless of the source. "The Democrats Are EVIL, but the
Republicans are the salt of the Earth". Both sides have their equal
share of moral and ethical shortcomings.
This is a complaint that's
made to users on those on both sides of the political spectrum. Bias in
itself isn't bad as long as the sources in question remain reputable by
upholding reporting and journalistic duties while bringing very
accurate news, like the NYTimes, WSJ, or The Guardian. Those working for
these sources have their bias's, but they also uphold reporting ethics,
and bring accurate news without pandering to their audience for the
sake of revenue.
In the age of the Internet
and YouTube, it's quite mind-boggling how many still get their news from
the idiot box in the form of sensationalist drivel from ratings-driven
corporate outlets where the news is sold rather than reported.
Outlets
like CNN and MSNBC have convinced many that Bernie
Sanders is a Marxist revolutionary out to destroy Capitalism and the
American way
(the farthest thing from the truth). These outlets cater to corporate
shills that embrace the status quo of big money and
corporate politics while spreading deceit on their behalf. Many formed
negative opinions
about Bernie Sanders based on lies that are being fanned by the DNC.
Politicians that will protect their corporate interest are
promoted as the quote "safe" candidates
that would return things back to quote "normal" (normal for those
loaded with cash while pushing lies protect their interest). Those
voting in this manner caved into imaginary threats that was never in a
cards to begin. Those thinking that their voting with their conscience
are mistakenly supporting candidates that are going against their own
interest. The vast majority of politicians on the Democrat ticket have
corporate support. It's no wonder that once they dropped out, they were
quick to support Biden. They are much more willing to protect their own
interest than embrace genuine change.
Despite
the DNC nonsense, their is one silver-lining though that has occurred
since I've been typing this rant (that's slowly involving into a
slightly more articulated article): Mike Bloomberg has dropped out. That
nincompoop of a candidate (still not that articulated enough though) thought
that he could simply get the nomination by throwing money at it. Even
the biggest brand-name corporate sellout known to man, Hillary Clinton,
knew that one couldn't simply get the nomination by buying it outright.
Bloomberg dropping out though isn't as nice as it sounds though. Many
street pundits have already speculated that Biden will form a ticket
with Bloomberg. If that's the case, then the Democrats deserve to loose
to Trump again for screwing over Sanders for the second time.
Luckily,
it seemed that many didn't fall for the sensationalist, brain-dead
content constantly pushed by MSNBC and CNN as Sanders has done quite
well. However, many still fell for the lies and deceit pushed on them
and the DNC. Despite that their isn't a real possibility of a Communist
takeover (unless one redefines Communism vaguely as anything that isn't
unrestricted Capitalism), many voted against Sanders
because they been sold the mental picture that he a blood-thirsty
Bolshevik wanting to take out the Democracy at all cost. The DNC is
resorting to Republican fear tactics to stop Bernie at any cost.
The DNC is Repulsive
This article
is involving into a general rant where I'm crap-talking the DNC a lot.
Can you blame me!? The DNC is a slave to big money, lobbyist,
billion-dollar donors,
and massive corporations that regularly manipulate the laws to give
themselves special privileges at the expense of everybody else (the ones
that are actually make those massive corporations possible in the first
place).
Many of these corporate
politicians will make token gestures of goodwill towards Hispanic,
African-American, other minorities, and the LBGTQ voters to please them,
but make no serious commitment to help them on the broad scale. The
reforms that help them plus everybody else, like the social welfare
programs pushed by LBJ in the 1960's. Economic and social policies
that can reach the behalf of everybody and make things better for all of
us are tossed to the side by those resorting to Red Scare tactics
while screaming "SOCIALISM" at the top of their lungs.
Many
of
these candidates are proclaiming that they simply want things to go back
to quote
"normal". Normal is essentially preserving the status quo. "Normal" is the reason
why that hotheaded agitator got elected elected President in the first place on 2016. Both
political
parties are slaves to big money and are far more vested in representing
them instead of serving the common interest of the voter. While their is
a lot of Obama love these days, he is a huge contributing factor to why Trump
got elected. Granted, when he became President, Obama did have good
intentions, as many do. I'm not going to be dismissive and say that all
politicians are crooks
that are simply looking for a vote (several of them do exist both sides
do
though). Many if not most who run for Congress do so because they feel
that they can make a real difference for the positive. These voters have
the feeling that they can make a impact on this country in a positive
manner. Unfortunately, the Washington political machine is one designed
to stomp out the hopes and dreams of those that don't conform to the
system. A machine that declares that big money is a very good thing, and
that when the rich wins, we all win! (farthest thing from the truth
often of times).
Those banking CEO's
responsible for the 2008 Financial meltdown got off without punishment. A
healthcare program designed to benefit insurance companies, and not the
people, was pushed through. Obama became a career politician for the
DNC. Many saw this and it was a contributing factor for what happened in
2016.
Things haven't improved since then.
Corporate
interest are presented as the common interest for the general
population. "See, we gave a massive tax cut! People benefit! WE CARE!"
While a
small raise is seen as generous, the CEO's of massive corporations who
barely pay any taxes at all to begin with and earning 400 times more
money than a typical worker (despite the fact that the CEO in question
doesn't work 400 times harder than that typical employee in that same
shift) and are least deserving of a raise are getting
a very massive payday. A payday that they gave to themselves because they're rich and no other reason.
These CEO's kept this money to themselves and didn't reinvest it back into the economy because that's quote "Socialism". At this point, I'm starting to think that most people don't know what Socialism actually is and they're just throwing the word around to make themselves sound smarter or for effect. Also, I'm noticing that a lot of air-quotes are making their way into this article as well. The current system in place isn't Capitalism, but the abuse of it for personal gain at any expense, with ethics being thrown out the window. I left the Webster's Dictionary link for the word Socialism for those that want to look up the actually definition instead of adapting someone eles meaning. (which is probably redefined as a vague umbrella term for anything that they disagree with, as their no politician in this country advocating for the government control of resources or their distribution, which is what Socialism actually is)

Even if the DNC is repulsed
by Trump, they have gained economic privileges under him. As a result,
they would support a
candidate that catered to their interest, like Joe Biden. The DNC,
wanting to protect their own deep pockets, has already convinced
themselves that Bernie
Sanders is the worst thing that ever happened to their party (For those
that want everything at any cost with total disregard for ethics or
accountability, Bernie Sanders is the worst thing to ever happen to
them.). Even
if Bernie wins the popular vote in the end, the DNC will find a way to
rig the system to prevent
him from getting the nomination.
Preserving The Status Quo (Big Money, And Not The Band)
......even if
Biden lost to Trump, it's
still not a major loss as the corporate
interest of the DNC would still
largely be satisfied with a
Trump victory.
93
super-delegates already declared that even if Bernie Sanders
wins the popular vote, they're not going to support him, and throw
their support behind Joe Biden. Looking into that crystal ball called
history, this will result in a party fracture that hasn't been seen
since the 1960's. What the DNC is resorting to is beyond
disgusting as the common voter is sick and tired of the status quo.
At
this point, it would be very tempting to say that the DNC
isn't stupid enough to select a candidate that might have a strong
possibility of loosing to Trump, especially if that candidate doesn't
even have wide support in his own party. The DNC isn't
stupid at all, believe it or not though. The reason for this is that even if
Biden loses to Trump, it's
still not a major loss as the corporate interest of the DNC would still
largely be satisfied with a
Trump victory. Thus, the DNC would rather see Trump as President than
Bernie
Sanders.
This is why their is a strong
possibility of 2016 repeating itself. The DNC in 2016 knew that Hillary
would have a much harder time going up against Trump than Sanders, who
would have most definitely won the election if he had the nomination.
She had decades of political baggage that worked greatly against her.
They went with her because she is a corporate shill with massive
brand-name recognition. She would have protected and promote their
corporate interest.
If Bernie Sanders doesn't get the
nomination, then all hell is going
to break loose.
Sanders had broad support
in 2016, but yet, the DNC robbed him of his nomination, and that is a
fact. When people have the feeling that their vote doesn't count, its
because of instances like these. Instances that the country feels much
more like a Plutocracy than a Democracy. The Instance where a candidate
has wide
support, and yet, doesn't win because the powers at be want to protect
their own interest. Deep pockets chooses the politicians, and not the
people. Sure,
someone who doesn't understand political machines will declare that
Bernie lost
because it was the blame of the voter and that blaming big money is
essentially looking for excuses. (BTW, I voted) "Oh.....Lobbyist, Big Money,
Corporations.....those are all pathetic excuses!". It's not. Bernie has
much greater
support now than he did in 2016, and the DNC is still actively working
on
robbing him of the nomination.
The Democrat
Party deserved to loose the 2016 Election for how they treated Sanders.
Sure, we would have to put up with a unethical buffoon for four years. I
can understand people not voting for Hillary though. It's like what the street
pundits said in 2016: you don't know what you're getting with Trump,
you know exactly what you're getting with Hillary. However, after four
years with Trump, one does now know who he is and what he's about now.
If Bernie Sanders doesn't get the nomination, then all hell is going to break loose. Many people see this election as a way of moving the Democrat Party in a new direction not dominated by big money or corporate interest. Voters throughout the country are sick and tired of lobbyist with big pockets dominating policy and representing those giant corporations, instead of those that built them up (ie. us). The message is obvious and the populist have spoken. If the DNC ignores their grievances (which they probably will) by nominating Biden, then there's no telling what could happen. It's not going to be pretty. I can tell you that much.

Why Does This Article Exist?
What motivated me
to type this article? A huge reason for this articles existence is that
I'm venting. Another reason is that the DNC, MSNBC, and CNN have to be
called out for the acts of misconduct that they are and have committed.
CNN and MSNBC are knowingly manipulating the reporting of the results
and Sanders to effect the outcome of the primaries to the DNC's
preference. They need to be highlighted and acknowledged. Positive
change can occur in this election, and doing so means not falling for
their shenanigans. On one hand, I'm not going to tell you how to vote.
That is your own choice. However, you should be aware of what's going on
and the manipulation that's taking place. This pigeon is taking off
now.
